Winter Adventures in the Boise Area
Excited for the holidays?
We are, too! But as you’re gearing up for Christmas and the New Year, don’t forget that there are a ton of amazing things to do around the Boise area during the cold weather months!
But don’t take our word for it. Check out these three winter activities in Idaho that you can enjoy over the next few months!
Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing
Idaho, with its numerous parks and trails, is a go-to spot for snow activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing. If you’re a resident of the Sandpoint / Couer d’Alene area, don’t forget to check out the Priest Lake area for extensive Nordic skiing. For southern Idahoans in the Boise / Idaho Falls region, check out Bogus Basin Ski Resort or Castle Rocks State Park.
Sledding
Bogus Basin isn’t just an amazing ski destination - it also has one of the best sledding hills in the Northwest United States! With its own chair lift, and inner tubes provided at the top of the hill, this is a great destination for a whole day of fun in the snow.
The Village at Meridian
If you need to finish your Christmas shopping and enjoy the holiday decor, check out the Village at Meridian. With a variety of restaurants and boutiques, as well as contactless photos with Santa this year - this is an ideal destination for someone looking for winter activities for kids.
There are a dozen other spots in our great state of Idaho to entertain families as we enter into the last few weeks of the year.
